Nuclear Reactors for District Heating

Private event
Location:
Conference Centre | Room 3
Event description:

The challenge: Producers of heat for district heating systems in Poland must transform their infrastructure to meet regulatory requirements concerning energy efficiency, and the reduction of industrial emissions and greenhouse gases. There are many solutions that meet these requirements, each with its limitations.

Nuclear reactors can be an important element of a country's heat generation infrastructure. The use of heat from nuclear reactors in district heating is a challenge that is not only technical, but also financial, regulatory, and social. The idea of the round table is to identify significant barriers to the development/implementation of nuclear reactors in the district heating sector and to develop proposals for action.
The workshop will take place on 18 March 2026 at Amberexpo, ul. Żaglowa 11, in Gdańsk during Power Connect.
Private event.
The report will be available in the BNEF Insight post-conference publication.
