Breakthrough investments in Polish energy – offshore, nuclear, and hydrogen are shaping the sector's future.

On Thursday in Warsaw, Poland's PGE and Denmark's Orsted made a key investment decision, approving the construction of the Baltica 2 offshore wind farm.

As the President of the NFOŚiGW said, an increase in the budget, and consequently an extension of the deadline, will not affect the substantive changes in the programme.

He also admitted that the location decision would be made once the government knew „who wants to join and co-finance this second project.”.

This initiative is aimed at young technology companies that can propose innovative solutions in areas such as digital organisation, Industry 4.0, and energy optimisation, among others.

Polish regulations define their own safety requirements. As the President of the National Atomic Agency (PAA) noted, they are partly aligned with requirements from other countries, but Poland also has specific requirements, including for particular locations.

According to the company, the implementation of the investment is expected to take up to two years from the moment a contract is signed with the selected bidder.
