Polish investments in energy transformation are gaining momentum. Project Tempo research shows that Poles recognise the benefits of climate policies and renewable energy sources. To date, over PLN 2.53 billion has already been spent on preparations for the construction of a nuclear power plant, and the LNG terminal in Świnoujście has been expanded. Experts point to the need for further development of RES as the key to lowering energy prices.

The results of the Project Tempo organisation's research may prove surprising. Poles perform better compared to other European Union countries in terms of recognising the benefits of climate policy for individuals and see greater benefits from renewable and nuclear energy than the average EU resident.

We are ready to return to the Permanent Committee of the Council of Ministers with the wind energy act – informed on Tuesday the Minister of Climate and Environment, Paulina Hennig-Kloska. She added that all contentious issues with the ministries of agriculture and infrastructure have been resolved.
Preparations for the construction of the nuclear power plant have already cost PGE EJ1 and PEJ companies over PLN 2.53 billion. In addition, the government administration has spent nearly PLN 168.5 million since 2020. These are not small sums, but they are only a drop in the ocean compared to the total cost of building the first nuclear power plant in Poland, which could reach PLN 192 billion.

Minister of Industry Marzena Czarnecka said during a ceremony on Wednesday marking the completion of the expansion of the LNG Terminal in Świnoujście that this investment is of strategic importance for Poland, ensuring our security and self-sufficiency.
To lower energy prices in Poland, the conditions for the development of RES must be improved, according to experts from the Energy Forum. In their opinion, this includes, among other things, reducing the administrative costs of the so-called direct line, which large plants use to draw energy directly from renewable sources.
