Its character is diagnostic and developmental. Its aim is to support young people in recognising and naming their own skills and competencies in a way that is useful in the job market. Participants work with an extensive list of 160 competencies along with their semantic explanations. The process involves phased selection:
1. Selection of 3 competencies from each part of the material (24 in total)
2. Reduction to 10 key skills.
3. Narrowing down to the 5 most important
4. Peer review – identifying 3 characteristics most visible from a colleague's perspective.
