BattIQ is developing Blackout Batteries – a new way to secure energy supply during power outages for farms and small and medium-sized enterprises that rely on uninterrupted power.
Our device connects to the grid at the customer's point of connection, enabling seamless use of existing circuits, batteries, and local power generation, without any power outages or interruptions. This effectively turns a standard grid-connected battery into a Blackout battery.
Furthermore, our proprietary, intelligent battery management algorithm, developed and licensed by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), allows owners to use their batteries for price arbitrage and peak load reduction during normal operation.
The result is greater energy security while maximising the value of owned batteries.
