More than 88% of the generating capacity connected to our grid is from renewable energy sources. Their total capacity, including micro-installations, now exceeds 11 GW.
We supply electricity to over 3.4 million customers in the northern and central parts of the country, covering approximately a quarter of its area. We manage over 65,000 transformer stations and power lines stretching over 201,000 km. A substantial 66% of the energy delivered to our customers via these lines comes from renewable energy sources.
The majority of our customers – close to 95% – use smart meters. Thanks to them, over 3.2 million households, institutions and companies connected to the Energa-Operator network can monitor their energy consumption and settle bills based on their actual usage. Smart meters also make it easier for us to locate faults more quickly, among other benefits.
