Our innovative solution is a transfer device that combines two existing technologies: concentrated solar power and heat storage in sand. Solar mirrors efficiently gather heat, which is then transferred to sand – a durable, readily available, and inexpensive material. The sand acts as a thermal battery, capable of storing large amounts of energy at high temperatures with minimal energy loss.
