Poland is today the largest energy construction site in Europe. I am talking about a specific and very round trillion zloty that Poland will invest over the next decade in energy, infrastructure, transmission lines and power plants.
This is where the future of Polish energy is discussed
Power Connect 2026 in their own words
The energy transition is no threat to Polish industry, Polish companies and Polish citizens. It is an opportunity, it is the hope of a secure Poland.
Energy is security, and security is energy.
We are not talking about an energy transition, we are talking about a process of civilisational transformation.
The most expensive thing in the energy sector is not the investment but the crisis: a blackout, a grid failure or a successful cyberattack.
We have democratised the energy sector. We will not centralise it again.
The first Baltic Power project reached 21% local content, in the second phase we are already planning 42%.
Biomethane is a green fuel, distributed and stable, because biogas plants run for more than 8000 hours a year.
Energy efficiency is step zero of the transition. The cheapest energy is the energy that does not have to be produced.
Entering the defence sector means moving from the top league to the Champions League.
What they say about Power Connect

For us local content is not just a percentage figure, it is a way of preparing projects, of contracting architecture and of relations with partners and suppliers

Biometan to w naszej ocenie przyszłość rynku gazu. Polska Spółka Gazownictwa jest na niego gotowa. W zeszłym roku podłączyliśmy do sieci gazowej pierwszą w Polsce biometanownię. Wraz z naszymi partnerami intensywnie pracujemy nad kolejnymi przyłączeniami. Warto przy tym wspomnieć, że w zeszłym roku właśnie na PowerConnect Energy Summit swoją premierę miała mapa chłonności. To cyfrowe narzędzie szczegółowo pokazuje wolumeny biometanu możliwe do przyjęcia w konkretnych lokalizacjach. Dzięki niej inwestorzy mogą w każdej chwili, na roboczo, z dowolnego miejsca na świecie sprawdzić obecne możliwości przyłączeniowe dla planowanej biometanowni.

Modern energy needs modern competences. Safety, precision and practical preparation for work in demanding conditions are the foundation of professionalism in our industry. That is why initiatives that let specialists test their skills and raise their qualifications in real conditions are so important. In a rapidly changing environment, the continuous improvement of competences is now a necessity. The Polish Energy Workers' Championship is not only a competition, it is above all a promotion of high standards of work at height and of professional responsibility. A valuable initiative in this area is the project of the Rope Access Technicians Organisation, which sets and develops the training standards used in the industry. We are proud to be able to co-create an event that genuinely supports the development of energy sector staff in Poland.

Grupa Energa is actively delivering on the energy transition. We are developing renewable sources, photovoltaic and wind farms, and energy storage that will help to manage sensibly what renewables produce, and, most importantly, low-emission sources. These are four combined cycle gas turbine plants, so important in balancing the National Power System. One of them, CCGT Gdańsk, is being built in the Rudniki district of Gdańsk. As Energa operates in Pomerania, it is without doubt one of our most important undertakings. It is an investment that matters to every one of us as an electricity consumer. The plant will supply as many as a million households, which is very important for strengthening the energy security of the region.

Local content is not a registered address. It is the use of the real competences of Polish companies. We use what Polish business is strong in, that is construction, steel structures and contractor facilities

Polish companies are already playing a growing role in the development of European offshore wind. The experience gained on the first projects and their developing industrial competences create a chance for them to become important links in European supply chains and a driver of Poland's green transition.

Poland has very high potential in biomethane production. It is worth remembering that most of it is biomethane of agricultural origin, which is of particular importance for the development of the sector: it allows local resources such as agricultural waste and by-products to be used, and it supports the sustainable development of rural areas by creating new jobs, generating additional sources of income for farms and strengthening energy self-sufficiency. Without a coherent support system, simplified administrative procedures and predictable regulatory conditions, the Polish countryside and investors will not decide to carry out projects, even though interest in this sector is very high.

At GAZ-SYSTEM we are consistently developing infrastructure that increases energy security and strengthens Poland's position as a regional gas hub in Central and Eastern Europe, from Baltic Pipe, through the LNG Terminal in Świnoujście, to the floating terminal under construction in the Gulf of Gdańsk. Delivering these strategic projects is not only the foundation of a stable and reliable system, but also an important impulse for the development of the national economy. That is why we work with Polish companies, contractors, suppliers and specialists from many design and construction industries, which allows a strong supply chain to be built around strategic investments and strengthens Polish engineering potential.

The challenge in delivering and implementing a local content strategy is not the legal environment. In the energy sector it is not a problem, we know it and we use it. The problem is a matter of greater courage and flexibility on the part of management. Let us not be afraid to look for new solutions (…) Through many small changes we build the bigger ones. Local content is not one thing or one decision, it is a series of changes and decisions that we have implemented across different business lines.
Video opinions from 2024–2025
[PowerConnect Energy Summit] will not be just a typical conference. During the event, as the main recipient of energy services, we will teach our suppliers how to fit properly into this modern supply chain.
During PowerConnect Energy Summit we will address the upcoming investments in offshore wind farms and in the nuclear power plant. We will discuss what this will mean for Polish businesses.
How can we make the most of the development opportunity that the energy transition gives us? (...) It has to be done together. And to do it together, we have to get to know one another. And to get to know one another, we have to come to the PowerConnect Energy Summit trade fair.
Pomerania can be, and may well become, the most important meeting place for the energy industry and for the logistics industry in the energy field, and here, in this circle, we will be able to take the most important decisions.
Let us meet here on site, exchange experience and think about how to build the energy future of Poland.
Moving away from fossil fuels, exiting coal and decarbonising the whole industry, or several industries of the energy sector, is truly a great challenge. That is why it is worth coming to Gdańsk, worth being at PowerConnectEXPO.
It is here that wind farms are being built in the Baltic, it is here that the first nuclear power plant is being built in the Choczewo municipality. That is why it is worth moving the talks about the challenges, and also about the problems, to Pomerania.
I am convinced that next year's first edition of this energy trade fair is a response to the changing situation on the Polish energy market.
The aim of the trade fair is to create a strong community of companies ready to share ideas and knowledge in order to contribute effectively to the energy transition in Poland.
