Beata Rutkiewicz was born on February 9, 1977, in Sierakowice. She graduated from the Gdańsk University of Technology, Faculty of Ocean Engineering and Ship Technology, the Warsaw University of Economics and Humanities, majoring in Human Capital Management and Management Psychology, and completed postgraduate studies (public procurement) at the University of Gdańsk. She also holds a Master of Business Administration degree.
A civil servant and local government official, she served as a public procurement specialist at the Agricultural Property Agency in Gdańsk, the Pruszcz Gdański Commune Office, and the Trąbki Wielkie Commune Office. In 2015, she assumed the position of Deputy Mayor of Wejherowo for City Development.
On December 20, 2023, she was appointed by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, Donald Tusk, to the office of Pomeranian Voivode.
