A manager with thirty years of experience in the energy sector, gained in public companies among others. An expert in energy, economics, and business management. An electrical engineer, doctor of economic sciences specializing in energy and gas trading.
He began his professional career in the energy sector in 1994 at Górnośląski Zakład Energetyczny. He later held key managerial positions in companies and capital groups: Vattenfall (2000-2010), Tauron (2010-2013), Enea (2013-2016), PKP Energetyka (2017-2018), and Veolia Group (2018-2024), where in the latter he served, among other roles, as a member of the management board of Veolia Energy Contracting Poland. He has extensive experience in corporate restructuring, strategy implementation, and managing complex projects and organisations. His most significant achievements include: implementing a strategy for the trading and customer service area, and establishing and centralising energy and gas trading within the Veolia Group; centralising energy and fuel trading, establishing a shared services centre, and organising strategic acquisitions within the Enea Group; establishing energy trading and sales structures within PKP Energetyka (currently PGE Energetyka Kolejowa); as well as a range of projects involving the implementation of commercial products in the energy and gas sector, optimisation, and the creation of diversified sales and customer service channels.
A graduate of engineering studies in electrical engineering at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, and master's studies at the Faculty of Organisation and Management of the same university, in management and marketing (specialisation: business management). He also completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the Dominican University programme in Chicago, international management and marketing studies at the Technical University of Brno, management and finance studies at the University of Economics in Katowice, as well as postgraduate studies in financial management and project management. He obtained a Doctorate in Economic Sciences from the University of Szczecin.
A practitioner combining many years of professional experience with science. An academic teacher, assistant professor in the Department of Management at WSB University in Dąbrowa Górnicza. Author of over 50 scientific publications in the field of economics, management and quality sciences. His research interests include, among others, processes related to sustainable development and decarbonisation in the context of changes in the efficiency and competitiveness of energy companies, as well as organisation management using cognitive technologies, networking, and mobility.
Chairman of the Management Board of PAEE – Polish Affiliate of IAEE (International Association for Energy Economics, based in Cleveland) – an organisation associating experts from the energy sector. Member of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, based in New York) – an international scientific and technical organisation bringing together professionals associated with the electrical and electronics industry and related fields. Member of the Polish Committee for Electric Power, Energy Trading Association (Chairman of the Management Council from March 2025) and the Polish Economic Society.
