Sławomir Hinc has many years of experience in the gas industry, having been directly involved in creating the concept of operation of the national operator of the natural gas transmission system in Poland since 2003. In the years 2004 - 2008, he served as financial director at PGNiG Przesył (currently GAZ-SYSTEM), where he was responsible for cooperation with the Energy Regulatory Office and negotiations of the lease of transmission assets, which were transferred by PGNiG to GAZ-SYSTEM as a dividend in kind. He also supervised the process of obtaining a gas transmission license for GAZ-SYSTEM. In the years 2006 – 2008, he served as a proxy at GAZ-SYSTEM. He is the author of the first transmission tariff of this company. In the years 2008 – 2013 he was vice-president of PGNiG for finance. He was responsible for, among others: for separating the storage system operator (OSM) from PGNiG, establishing the company currently operating under the name Gas Storage Poland and introducing storage services to the market. In the years 2008-2014 he was a member of the Supervisory Board of EuRoPol GAZ. In 2010, he was appointed to the Governing Council of the European association of gas and oil companies EUROGAS in Brussels, where he sat until 2015.
In the years 2013-2016, he served as president and general director of PGNiG Upstream Norway, where he was responsible, among other things, for the acquisition of PGNiG's shares in 4 deposits, for which he received the Gullkronen Award for the best transaction on the oil market in Norway. He also supervised the expansion of PGNiG's exploration activities in northern Norway, including PGNiG's acquisition of exploration licenses in the Barents Sea. In the years 2019 - 2024 he was associated with the renewable energy industry, first as an advisor to the management board and then as a member of the Supervisory Board of Helioexpert. From 2019, he was the president and managing director of Green Genius - the Polish branch of the Lithuanian PV farm operator.
He has an economic education obtained at the Institute of Foreign Trade of the University of Gdańsk and a PhD in technical sciences from the Faculty of Environmental Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology, specializing in gas transmission tariff systems. He also studied at the universities of Vienna and Berlin. He completed postgraduate studies in The Comprehensive Business Management Program organized by Central State Connecticut University. Lecturer of postgraduate studies at the Warsaw University of Technology and the AGH University of Science and Technology in the area of transport, tariffification and regulation of the natural gas market. Author of a number of publications on tariffification and natural gas transport.
