Information and Education Centers in the regions of nuclear power plants
Closed event
Location:
Conference Center | Room 4
Event description:
Poland is beginning the construction of its first nuclear power plant. One of the activities accompanying this process will be the design of a modern information and education center to support communication about the nuclear energy program. This is a "high-risk" area: the message can easily be simplified into public relations or, conversely, dominated by excessive technicality, making it difficult for non-experts to understand the content. Various models of such centers exist in Europe: from traditional visitor centers at operating power plants, through urban centers, to hybrid solutions combining exhibitions, school programs, stakeholder dialogue, and digital communication.
During a roundtable with experts involved in running these units at European nuclear power plants, proven tools for education and presenting reliable information will be discussed, as well as solutions that work best in practice and those that do not bring the expected results.
The workshop will take place on March 18, 2026 at Amberexpo, 11 Żaglowa Street, in Gdańsk during Power Connect.
Event closed to the public.
The report will be available in the BNEF Insight post-conference publication.
