Over 88%, or the majority of the generating capacity connected to our grid, comes from renewable energy sources. Their total capacity, including micro-installations, already exceeds 11 GW.
We supply electricity to over 3.4 million customers in the northern and central parts of the country, covering approximately a quarter of its territory. We manage over 65,000 transformer stations and over 201,000 km of power lines. As much as 66% of the energy reaching our customers through them comes from renewable energy sources.
The majority of our customers – nearly 95% – use remotely read meters. Thanks to them, over 3.2 million households, institutions, and businesses connected to the Energa-Operator network can monitor their energy consumption and bill for actual consumption. Smart meters facilitate, among other things, faster fault location.
