Gdynia Maritime University (UMG) is the oldest state maritime university in Poland and one of the largest in Europe. It educates future merchant navy officers, engineering and management staff for the maritime economy and the coastal region at the bachelor's, engineer's, master's, and doctoral levels.
The university offers opportunities to acquire knowledge not only through full-time studies but also through part-time studies, postgraduate programs, MBAs, and specialized and qualifying courses. The range of majors and specializations is extensive and meets the current needs of the job market. Gdynia Maritime University comprises the Faculties of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanics, Navigation, Management and Quality Sciences, as well as the Maritime Institute of the Maritime University of Gdańsk.
UMG meets global requirements for the education of merchant navy officers in accordance with the STCW Convention, and the Quality Management System complies with the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 standards and covers all university activities.
