A manager with thirty years of experience in the energy sector, including working in public companies. An expert in energy, economics, and business management, he is an electrical engineer with a PhD in economics, specializing in energy and gas trading.
He began his professional career in the energy industry in 1994 at the Upper Silesian Power Plant. He subsequently held key management positions at companies and capital groups including Vattenfall (2000-2010), Tauron (2010-2013), Enea (2013-2016), PKP Energetyka (2017-2018), and the Veolia Group (2018-2024), serving in the latter as a member of the management board of Veolia Energy Contracting Poland. He has extensive experience in corporate restructuring, strategy implementation, and managing complex projects and organizations. His most important achievements include: implementing the strategy for the trade and customer service area and establishing and centralizing energy and gas trading in the Veolia Group, centralizing energy and fuel trading and creating a shared services center and organizing strategic acquisitions in the Enea Group, establishing energy trading and sales structures in PKP Energetyka (currently PGE Energetyka Kolejowa), as well as a number of projects related to the implementation of commercial products in the energy and gas sector, optimization and creation of diversified sales and customer service channels.
He graduated with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice and completed master's studies at the same university's Faculty of Organization and Management, majoring in management and marketing (specializing in business management). He also completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at the Dominican University in Chicago, international management and marketing studies at the Brno University of Technology, management and finance studies at the University of Economics in Katowice, and postgraduate studies in financial and project management. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Szczecin.
A practitioner combining extensive professional experience with research, he is an academic and assistant professor in the Department of Management at the WSB University in Dąbrowa Górnicza. He has authored over 50 scientific publications in economics, management, and quality sciences. His research interests include processes related to sustainable development and decarbonization in the context of changes in the efficiency and competitiveness of energy companies, as well as organizational management using cognitive, networking, and mobility technologies.
President of the Management Board of PAEE – the Polish Affiliation of the IAEE (International Association for Energy Economics, based in Cleveland) – an organization bringing together experts from the energy sector. He is a member of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, based in New York) – an international scientific and technical organization bringing together people professionally involved in the electrical and electronics industry and related fields. He is a member of the Polish Electricity Committee, the Energy Trading Association (president of the Governing Council since March 2025) and the Polish Economic Society.
