He has served as Marshal of the Pomeranian Voivodeship continuously since 2010.
From 2005 to 2010, he served on the Pomeranian Voivodeship Board as Deputy Marshal. He has been a voivodeship councilor since 1998. In the 2018 local elections, Mieczysław Struk was re-elected as a Pomeranian Voivodeship councilor with a record number of over 67,000 votes. He was born on January 1, 1961, in Jastarnia. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Tourism and Recreation at the University of Physical Education in Wrocław. He completed postgraduate studies in Organization and Management and European Integration at the University of Gdańsk and doctoral studies at the Faculty of Management and Economics of Services at the University of Szczecin. From 1990 to 2002, he served as mayor of Jastarnia. He co-initiated and chaired the Board of the Municipal Association of Municipalities. He co-organized ecological investments, including: a comprehensive solution for the water and sewage management of the Hel Peninsula and the Bay of Puck, a project to build bicycle paths around the Bay of Puck, a project to build a network of marinas for sailing and fishing, and to make military fortifications accessible to tourists. Winner of the Grzegorz Palka Award, the so-called local government Oscar. Married, he has two daughters.
