Ambassador Tom Rose was nominated by President Donald J. Trump on February 6, 2025, and confirmed by the United States Senate on October 7, 2025. He previously served as Chief Strategist and Senior Advisor to Vice President Pence during President Trump's first term, where he supported the President's America Firstto ensure a secure, prosperous, and free United States.
A native of Indianapolis, Ambassador Rose was elected to local government in 1994 and subsequently served on the Indiana Judicial Nominating Commission and the Indiana Judicial Review Board from 2013 to 2016. He began his career as a television, radio, and print journalist, later pursuing leadership roles in media. For more than two decades, he owned or managed newspapers in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Israel, including seven years as publisher and CEO of The Jerusalem Post.
